On Wednesday, March 23, 2004 the Mayor of West Hollywood Mr. Jeffrey Prang opened the “Unity and Diversity” Exhibit at the Pacific Design Center on Melrose Ave.
It's a collection of art works of prominent and emerging Russian American Artists.
The Exhibit is featuring over 300 paintings, graphic art and sculptures of 62 artists living in Los Angeles. Among the participants there are such well-known names as American awards winner Zinovy Shersher, Vadim Greenberg, Armenian awards winner professor Vladimir Atanyan, sculptor Victor Makogonenko, Vladimir Vitkovsky, Yuri Chikvaidze and others.
The exhibition is sponsored by the Pasific Design Center and co-sponsored by The City of West Hollywood, Russian Advisory Board of the City of West Hollywood, the Russian Community Center and Panorama Media Group.
The exhibition is organized by Lev Volovik and curated by Zinovy Shersher.
The exhibit is continuing through the month of April.
